30 years of the Limbe Wildlife Centre
The first sanctuary for victims of the illegal wildlife trade in Cameroon
Three decades of rescuing animals in need
Since 1993, the Limbe Wildlife Centre has made it its mission to conserve Cameroonian wildlife by rehabilitating victims of poaching, inspiring people to connect with nature and improving local communities’ wellbeing. We are pleased to announce the celebration of our 30th anniversary here at the LWC, and we invite you to join us in our celebration to mark this historic milestone.
As we celebrate our 30th year, we reiterate our resolve to continue working to advance our mission of protecting and conserving vulnerable wildlife. The future of the LWC is bright, with lots of new and exciting upcoming plans to further our mission here in Cameroon. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the support you have provided to us over the years. We hope you will be part of the celebrations and the journey going forward with us.
Celebrate with us
For three decades, the Limbe Wildlife Centre has been a sanctuary for injured, orphaned and trafficked animals in Cameroon. From chimps to gorillas, to birds and reptiles, the centre has been a haven for animals who have nowhere else to go. Beyond providing shelter for these animals, the Limbe Wildlife Centre has also been providing conservation education to local communities and advocating for the protection of these incredible animals.
To celebrate, we hope to raise an additional $30,000 for the centre. These funds will go a long way towards ensuring the Limbe Wildlife Centre continues to thrive for another 30 years and beyond. Let’s celebrate what it has accomplished over the last 30 years and ensure that it can continue to do so for the decades ahead.
In many ways, the Limbe Wildlife Centre is a beacon of hope. It reminds us that in the face of massive environmental challenges, we can all come together to make a difference. Every dollar we can raise will go towards keeping this incredible sanctuary alive, providing a new lease of life for some of the world’s most incredible animals. Donations, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in the lives of these animals and those fighting for their survival.
