Abby is one of four gorillas that were smuggled from Cameroon via a zoo in Nigeria and sold to Taiping Zoo in Malaysia in 2002. After much hard work and campaigning, the four gorillas were returned to their home country of Cameroon via South Africa in 2007. Abby has travelled across the globe due to illegal wildlife trafficking, but she has been calling the Limbe Wildlife Centre home for the last 16 years.
