The Mousached Guenon has a black face with blue areas around the eyes and cheeks. It has a distinctive white moustache below the nose. Its body is reddish brown with bluish fringe and the lower part ofthe tail is eddish brown. they have white throat and underbody.

They eat mainly fruit. Seeds, leaves, arthropods, eggs and small birds also constitute a major part of their diet. They have special cheek pouches which they use to store food while foraging.
