Gray-cheeked mangabeys are covered in soft shaggy black hair, except for the white to gray coloration of the broadly projecting whisker and cheek hairs and a large crest of hairs that rises to a point on the top of the head. they have tails longer than their body and lareg incisors.


Mangabeys are mainly fruit eaters, although they do also eat leaves, nuts,
seeds, insects, and spiders. They have very powerful teeth and jaws to
help them crack hard nut shells or bite into thick-skinned fruits.
